The 1909 Event: A race held on August 27-28, 1909, was won by Louis Raffalovich and Charles Basle in a Renault. Brumm originally made 1/43rd scale models of horse-drawn carriages. Models of steam vehicles went into production in the mid-1970s and models of classic cars in 1977, all of them also in 1/43rd scale.
